Benalmadena Christmas 2025

Benalmadena Christmas 2025 – On previous years, we’ve translated Benalmadena’s Christmas program day by day. This year we are doing it (again!) but a little bit differently: instead of chronologically, we’ll separate by type of event, and then by day. I’m trying to make it a bit easier to sort through the long list of events; after all, Christmas in Benalmadena – as in all of the Costa del Sol – is a celebration that lasts for 40 days!!!
Also to make it a bit easier, I’m separating the events related to Christmas (up to December 30th) from those related to the New Year’s Celebration (From December 31st all the way to the end of 3 Kings Day). We will have a separate post for these. 😉 Here you can find the original program, in Spanish, published by the Town Hall. It’s called Vive la Navidad en Benalmádena (Live Christmas in Benalmadena) and it is fair to the name: the season is quite lively, with lots of events every day!!
Benalmadena Christmas Market 2025
I have the impression that Benalmadena’s Christmas Market is getting bigger by the year. It happens along the Avenida de la Constitución, right from the exit of the train Station. It’s cute and offers both Christmas-related products and non-related products. I wish it had hot wine but, as a matter of fact, I’m yet to find any (Fuengirola has…). Despite of that, the market is well worth checking while in town, seeing the lights, the Christmas tree, the nativity scenes, the shows…

From November 28th to January 6th
Arroyo de la Miel Town Center
Sale of Christmas-related products and others
Christmas trees in Benalmadena 2025
This is not in the program but let me add: there are 3 main Christmas trees in the city, one in each of the main districts of the town – Benalmadena Pueblo, Arroyo and Benalmadena Costa. If you are around, check the closest to you – they are different every year. Check, as well, the beautiful Christmas lights that make our town even prettier – they are all over the main streets of Benalmadena. Lovely.

Christmas Music shows
Pastorals, Zambombas and Candles (Candelas) are typical Spanish Christmas Music shows. We talked about them when talking about Traditional Christmas in the Costa del Sol – we even have a few videos there! Besides these three – which I recommend watching if you enjoy discovering a less commercial and more communal side of Christmas – there are also choirs, and indoors spectacles. You have it all in Benalmadena!
